Dr. Courtney Gowin is a West Texas native with a California soul. She discovered the healing power of chiropractic through a college basketball injury that ended up being the biggest blessing and paved the way for her to go to chiropractic school after finishing her studies at Abilene Christian University.
During her time at Parker University, Dr. Gowin fell in love with not only the body's capacity to heal naturally, but also to birth naturally. She and her husband, Brandon Gowin, have welcomed three sweet girls, Amelia Rose, Capri Nicole, and Luna Lou into this world naturally at home.
After two years in practice Dr. Gowin saw the void in the birth community of actual community, and through a lot of prayer and hard work, created the NEST. Being able to practice alongside a midwife, massage therapists, and many other birth workers, Dr. Gowin has been able to support and empower hundreds of women during their birth experience and beyond. Supporting and ecouraging women throughout their pregnancies and beyond is one of Dr. Gowin's greatest passions.
Dr. Gowin has also written one of the largest natural pregnancy and birth books, The Barefoot Mama. Through the process of writing this book, she has also created Barefoot Retreats. Beginning in 2022 Dr. Gowin is launching her retreat business in Tulum, Cabo, and Costa Rica. You can find out more HERE.
Along with running Free to Be Chiropractic, Dr. Gowin also teaches and speaks to chiropractors around the world. She holds a special passion for mentoring students and teaching this beautiful art of prenatal chiropractic. When she is not traveling, teaching, or doing yoga you can find her chasing all her animals around on their family farm.
Susannah Hansson, DC
Dr. Susannah Hansson was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She started seeing a chiropractor in high school for wellness care, which helped her as a competitive dancer and pianist. After experiencing the amazing benefits of chiropractic care first hand, she decided to pursue the career for herself.
Susannah attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she majored in biology with minors in psychology and chemistry. Afterwards, she moved to Dallas to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University. During chiropractic school, she grew a greater appreciation for the human body and its self-healing abilities. She is passionate about helping people from all walks of life achieve optimal health through chiropractic care.
Susannah lives in Dallas with her husband Erik and their two golden-doodles, Sedona and Ziggie. Outside of chiropractic, Susannah enjoys long walks along the Katy Trail, spending time with friends and family, and traveling all over the globe.

If you need a listening ear, a good laugh or just some time to be, she is here for you.
Dr. Tori Hartline (“Dr. T”) has always felt called to serve others through chiropractic care. She has a sunshine loving heart having been raised around the cacti of Arizona and having attended college near the waves of Malibu, California. As a Pepperdine Wave (ayo waves!)
Tori launched her academic journey to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science. This passion for health and wellness brought her to Dallas, TX where she graduated from Parker University with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters in Functional Nutrition.
Tori’s chiropractic journey began with her own experience with back pain while cheering in high school. Tori was amazed by her experience with chiropractic care and how the impact surpassed back pain alone.
Tori seeks to improve the quality of life for everyone on their journey to optimal health. She believes in a holistic approach to health focused on the mind, body, and spirit.
Tori is Webster Certified through the ICPA and trained in MC2 Tonal Technique. She loves seeing women, children, and families.
In addition to getting adjusted herself, Tori loves practicing yoga, working on personal development, attending Gateway Church, and spending time with her husband, Austin, and 2 fur babies, Kanan and Samson.
