Free to Be

 Founded in 2014

Dr. Courtney Gowin founded Free to Be Chiropractic with a passion for serving mothers, babies, and growing families. As a mother herself, she recognized the need for a space where women could feel supported through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and motherhood — not only through exceptional chiropractic care, but through genuine community and connection.

What began as a vision for holistic, family-centered care quickly grew into a trusted space for prenatal, postpartum, pediatric, and family wellness in North Dallas. Free to Be Chiropractic has always been rooted in the belief that families deserve to feel seen, supported, and empowered in every season of life.

Today, Noah and Kennedy Allain are honored to step into the ownership of Free to Be Chiropractic and continue the incredible legacy Dr. Gowin created. With deep respect for the foundation she built, they are committed to carrying forward the same mission of compassionate care, meaningful connection, and whole-family wellness for the community Free to Be Chiropractic proudly serves.

Our Providers

My husband and I love Free to Be! I have been a patient with Dr Courtney for several years and my husband has been a patient for about a year, we both get semi-regular adjustments. We always have a good experience every time we come for an appointment, and we have each been adjusted by all of the chiropractors; they are all equally wonderful. They are all so very kind and do a great job with adjustments. The office is warm and welcoming and there is always a family friendly, community vibe in the air. Hannah, the office admin, is wonderful as well. There is never a long wait, and I always feel well taken care of. I highly recommend Free to Be!

Chiropractic

Vitalistic chiropractic is an approach to care that focuses on the body’s innate ability to heal and function when it is free from interference. We view the body as an interconnected system where the nervous system plays a central role in regulating all bodily functions.

When the spine is misaligned, it can disrupt the communication between the brain and the rest of the body, leading to imbalances and health issues. Vitalistic chiropractic emphasizes correcting these misalignments, or subluxations, to restore optimal nervous system function. By supporting the nervous system, vitalistic chiropractic care helps the body naturally heal, adapt, and maintain overall health, ensuring long-term vitality and well-being.
